Scuff & Scratch Repair

Surface Scuffs, Paint Scratches, and Clear Coat Damage Repaired

Depth Determines the Repair

Surface Scuff, Paint Scratch, or Through-to-Primer — They Are Not the Same.

Not all scratches are equal. A surface scuff that only affects the clear coat can often be polished out without any paint work. A scratch that cuts through the clear coat into the basecoat needs paint. A scratch that reaches the primer or bare metal needs proper prep and paint to prevent rust.

At CarPro, we assess the depth of the damage before recommending a repair approach. We will tell you honestly whether a scratch can be polished out, whether it needs a spot repair, or whether it needs a full panel blend — and what each option costs. No upselling to a more expensive repair when a simpler one is the right answer.

Why Customers Choose CarPro

30 Years in the Valley. Family Owned and Operated.

Scratch repair is one of the most common services we see — and one where the honest answer is not always the most expensive one. CarPro assesses the damage and recommends the repair that actually makes sense.

Honest Depth Assessment

We assess whether a scratch can be polished, spot-repaired, or needs a full panel repaint before recommending anything. The right repair depends on the depth — not the upsell.

Color-Matched Spot Repairs

When paint is needed, we match the color precisely using your vehicle's factory code and a spectrophotometer reading of the actual panel.

Realistic Expectations

We will tell you what the repair will look like when it is done — including whether a spot repair will be visible under certain lighting conditions — before you decide.

Our Process

Assess Depth, Match Color, Repair

01

Depth Assessment

Polish, Spot, or Panel Repaint

We assess the scratch depth under proper lighting to determine the right repair approach. You get a straight answer on what it takes and what it costs.

02

Surface Prep

Clean, Sand, Prime as Needed

The repair area is cleaned and prepped appropriately for the repair type — polish for clear coat damage, sanding and primer for deeper scratches.

03

Repair & Blend

Color Match and Clear Coat

Paint is applied and blended into adjacent panels as needed. Clear coat is applied and polished to match the surrounding finish.

Have a Scratch or Scuff?

Bring it in and we will tell you exactly what it takes to fix it — and whether a simple polish is all it needs.
